About QASRA

Where it all began

The Quran and Sunnah Research Academy (QASRA) is built on a legacy of sincerity, truthfulness, and devotion to authentic Islamic learning. Its roots go back to our respected elder Hazrat Abdul Hameed Sahab, whose life reflected humility, clarity of thought, and a pure commitment to the Quran, the Prophet's authentic Sunnah, and the noble traditions of the Ahl-e-Bait.

As the world changed and misinformation about Islam grew, Syed Ali Hamza Chishty and Syed Badrudduja Chishty recognized the need for an institution that could document, safeguard, and present Islamic teachings with academic honesty and spiritual depth. QASRA was established as a research-focused institution rather than a conventional religious centre.

Models we trained at QASRA

We re-trained open models on Hadith data. A plain NLLB-style run starts near loss 8; ours finishes much lower (for example Arabic to Urdu ~1.19, Urdu to Hindi ~0.24). Our light transliterator stays cleaner than big general models like Gemma 4 or GPT-5.4 nano on this job, without mixing Hindi into Urdu or Arabic, and uses about 2% of their memory.

A pair is one Hadith written in two languages with the same meaning. We used about 18 lakh pairs (nearly 1.8 million) so the models could learn careful translation from real Hadith text.
